Why Sing Secular Songs?

For the last 33 years I've sung almost exclusively church music. I've traveled the world singing great gospel songs and have had a wonderful time doing so. I'd do it again and perhaps one day I will do so. My music these days is from a secular catalogue and some of my Christian friends are wondering why.

I read a book once by C.S. Lewis in which he made a statement that has challenged my thinking. He said "There is no badness...only spoiled goodness". I agree with him and it is with that thought I will proceed with "Why sing secular songs".
